These opinions are our personal opinions that we've drawn based on our research and our own background and personal knowledge.

Why do you think that according to a census bureau chart taken in 2004 (below), Asians and Whites are receiving the highest amount of household income?

Person #1-
I believe that the Asians and Whites are receiving the highest amount of income because Asians partake in many different jobs (nail shops, restaurants,etc) and food service, and there is a large population of Whites in the United States. Since there are many Whites in the United States, they take up a lot of the job opportunities and have higher positions because of their high ranking in society. The fact that they have high positions effects how much income they get, and since there are a lot of Whites, a lot of Whites get a lot of income.
Person #2-
I think that Asian Americans are getting a lot of income because they have a lot of restaurants, nail shops, food stores, etc. Since they do many different jobs and own their own businesses, they get a lot more income. White usually get many well-paid positions, therefore their income is high as well, and they usually have the most or the best education so they have an advantage. While African-Americans are usually employed by someone else and Hispanic/Latinos as well.
Person #3-
I believe that Asian Americans, as well as Whites, recieve better education here in the United States. They recieve more education as well, such as being a high school graduate and attending college. Since they have a good education, the education that they have equips them better to obtain jobs, have high positions and possibly be the owner of a business or corporation. Since education is very important these days in terms of getting a good job and high income, Whites and Asians take advantage, or have the means to take advantage, of the education that is offered. African-Americans and Hispanics/Latinos, are the ones that have a lower education because many of them aren't high school graduates or probably didn't attend college, therefore their job opportunities and funds/incomes are limited because they didin't or couldn't take advantage of the education offered to them.
